Conference record information

Abstracts will be published in IEEE Xplore. This publication will constitute the full Conference Record and NO additional conference record will be published. Those abstract that are not presented either by oral or poster presentations during the conference will be withdrawn from IEEE Xplore after the conference.

In addition, presenters are encouraged to submit the full papers to relevant IEEE journals such as Transactions on Nuclear Science (TNS), Transactions on Radiation and Plasma Medical Sciences (TRPMS), or Transactions on Medical Imaging (TMI). Since only abstracts will be copyrighted for the conference record, there will be less constraints on copyrighted materials for these subsequent full paper submissions to our journals (i.e., TNS, TRPMS, and TMI) and any other journals.

FAQ

What time should I arrive each day?

To avoid long lines at the registration counter we suggest you register in advance and arrive 45 minutes prior to your first conference session or even better the day before. To speed the badge pick up process, print the registration confirmation email that you received and bring it with you, or have it available on your mobile device. Remember that you must bring your ID.

What happens when I arrive at the conference? I’ve never attended before.

We welcome first-timers! When you arrive at the convention center, look for signs directing you to Conference Registration desk where you will pick up your badge. Your badge gives you entry into the Exhibition Hall, special events and conference sessions, (if you have registered for those.) If you have questions, please ask any of our on site staff for assistance.

As speaker what do I need to do on the day of my presentation?

As a presenter, I should upload my presentation to the conference system 72 hours before my presentation! Furthermore, I can check in the computer room whether my file has been uploaded correctly and everything is displayed correctly on the presentation computer. Be in the session room for 10 minutes and get acquainted with the session chair. So that the session chair knows that you are present.

Am I allowed to use my own device for presentations?

No! Please upload your presentation in the conference system in advance.

Can I come with a USB Stick to the session?

No! If your presentation is not uploaded well in advance to the conference system the presentation might not be given. Make sure to follow the instructions provided in the email.

As poster presenter, what do I need to do?

As poster presenter we expect the NSS and RTSD posters to be put up on Monday morning according to the ID and to be taken down on Wednesday after 1pm. From Wednesday 1:30pm onwards, the MIC posters can then be put up. NSS or RTSD posters that are still up may be taken down and disposed of.

We would like to give all participants the opportunity to visit the posters for as long as possible, 2.5 days for each Program, to ensure visibility. Interested parties can then contact the presenter via the QR and the conference system, outside of the poster session.

A MUST DO as poster presenter?

If you are not present during your given poster session and have not been identified a poster presenter by the poster session chair, you will be excluded from the Conference Record!

What are the NSS MIC RTSD opening hours?

The conference online program schedule may be found here. Please note it is subject to change.

How can I access speaker's presentations prior to the show?

If a speaker provides their slides to us, they will be made available in the NSS MI RTSD app after the session is over. Find the session you are attending and go to the presentation where you will find an icon for downloading.

What’s the difference between a Session and a Workshop?

Sessions provide 108 minutes of information while Workshops are either full or half day long. Workshops, should give you more insight on a specific topic not covered by the general program  and may provide more opportunities for interaction.

Who has to register to attend NSS MIC RTSD?

Everyone. If you are on site you must wear your badge.

What if my spouse would like to come along?

Everyone must register to be admitted to the Exhibit Hall or Conference sessions. They will be able to join you for the Exhibition Happy hour, the conference reception and also for any dinner or lunch function for which one has to pay special fee.
