Conference Registration
Pre-registration is advisable to save time and money, and to ensure your registration package will be available for collection when you arrive. The only registration method available is through the conference web site, as it places your details directly into our database, and where you can pay by credit card (Visa, Master, Diners, Discover, and American Express) through our secure web server. Wire transfers will be accepted only by October 10, and will be charged a GBP 48.00 service fee. You will receive all detailed information on wire transfers with your confirmation after you have registered yourself.
Please be aware that the registration desk is located in the Hilton Deansgate Hotel, on the first floor from Friday Oct. 25 until Sunday morning, Oct 27. The short courses will take place at the Hilton as well.
From Sunday afternoon (Oct. 27) until the end of the conference you will find the registration desk in the Manchester Convention Center, next to the Charter Foyer entrance.

(a) IEEE Membership Number required at the time of registration.
(b) Proof of student status required – If you want to take advantage of the reduced IEEE Student or Non-IEEE Student registration fee you need to provide proof of student eligibility by e-mailing a copy of your student status certificate or ID card to ieee@eventclass.com in advance of the conference AND bring your original student status certificate letter or ID card when you pick up your conference documents at the registration desk. Both actions are mandatory to be eligible for a student registration. If you do not provide the student status documentation you will be charged the full registration rate.
(c) One-day only registrations may not be combined. More than one day requires full conference registration. Be aware that single day registrations do not include entrance to the Conference Reception or the Exhibits Reception. These events are benefits that are provided for attendees who paid the full conference registration fees.
(d) IEEE Life Members should do a standard IEEE member registration and proceed to the next page and then select IEEE Life Member to obtain their complimentary registration.
(e) Companions can attend the Exhibitor Happy Hour and the Conference Reception.
(f) Continuing Education Program Only fees are for those attendees who want to join a short course only. Be aware that Continuing Education Program Only fees do not include the participation at the conference and the exhibition. Continuing Education Program Only fees do not include entrance to the Conference Reception or the Exhibits Reception. These events are benefits that are provided for attendees who paid the full conference registration fees. This fee qualifies to participate in the booked Short Course only.

Only electronic registration is accepted. To register online, go to the registration site (available in July) and follow the instructions there.
An acknowledgement of your registration will be sent upon its receipt and payment.

On-Site Registration
All on-site registration will be performed via the online registration page. If you choose to register on-site, you must first register yourself online. You may do this via any computer with internet access. There will be computers near the registration desk that you may use to register. Next, proceed to the “Onsite Registration” booth of the Registration desk where you will obtain your conference materials. A badge is required to attend all conference events, so you must visit the Registration desk after you have electronically registered. We accept credit card (Visa, Master, Diners, Discover, and American Express) or cash payments at currency GBP for on-site registrations.
Badge Policies
All badges and conference materials must be picked up at the Registration desk.
You will be required to present photo identification (passport, ID or driver’s license) to obtain your conference materials. Please have it with you when you visit the Registration Desk, or you will be asked to return when you have it.
For security purposes, all attendees are required to wear their badge for entry into session rooms. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have your badge at all times.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
All cancellation requests (partial or full) must be received in writing by October 17, 2019 for consideration. Approved refunds (less a GBP 50 administrative fee) will be issued after November 30, 2019. No refunds will be issued for requests after October 17, 2019.
IEEE Membership
An IEEE Membership Desk will be located in in front of the Registration Desk. Staff will be available to answer questions about membership benefits. Conference attendees who paid non-member registration fees are eligible for a $100 discount towards a regular (non-student) IEEE 2019 membership that also includes free membership in NPSS — all courtesy of NPSS. Students joining at the conference can receive a year’s free membership by providing a statement from their mentor that they are full-time students. Online access to the Transactions on Nuclear Science and Transactions on Plasma Science journals, as well as the NPSS newsletter is included with NPSS membership. Please visit the IEEE Membership Desk to take advantage of these offers.
Note that new membership obtained at the Conference does not provide eligibility for reduced IEEE member registration fees.
To become a member before registering for the conference, visit https://www.ieee.org/membership/join/index.html. Your verified membership is required to register as an IEEE member and to take benefit from the reduced member rates. While registering you need to have your IEEE member ID at hand to access the reduced rates. Please have in mind that new memberships will take at least a few days until the member status is confirmed.
